For more than a quarter of century, the Horn of Africa has been subject to stereotypes. Always in the eye of the hurricane, Ethiopia alone symbolizes extreme poverty, abandonment, and the sad African fatality. But while the country is rebuilding itself after it’s a series of conflicts (among them the civil war and the conflicts with Eritrea), women, refusing this simplistic vision, are paving the road of their fate. Their back bent under the weight of their task, these proud women are putting the country on its feet again and shaping their future.
